Vergun started this season as head coach of BC Minsk, but left the club in December. The 41-year-old specialist is the head coach of the Belarusian national basketball team.
Uralmash was previously coached by Milos Pavicevich. The contract with him was terminated by agreement of the parties.
The Montenegrin coach took charge of the team last season and helped the club win its second consecutive Super League 1 gold medal and gain membership in the VTB United League.
Uralmash are in eighth place in the standings with 8 wins in 17 matches.
