The Spurs will be key to the reunion of LeBron James and Kyrie Irving

The Nets point guard could join the Los Angeles franchise and repeat the duo that won three consecutive NBA finals and a title for the Cavaliers.

The possible arrival of Kyrie Irving a Los Angeles Lakers starting to come true according to rumors of NBA Y San Antonio Spurs unlock the transaction. Lebron James he will soon receive a duo partner to be with three NBA finals and a ring with the Cavaliers.

Having almost ruled an exchange in between Brooklyn Nets and Los Angeles Lakers by Kyrie Irving and Russell Westbrook is the point where San Antonio Spurs get relevant. According to the journalist Eric Pincus of Bleacher Reportthe three-band move will take place as follows:

  • San Antonio Spurs receive from: Russell Westbrook and the 1st round of the 2027 Draft of the Los Angeles Lakers.
  • Brooklyn Nets recipient: the 1st round of the 2029 Draft of the Los Angeles Lakers.
  • Los Angeles Lakers receive from: Kyrie Irving, Seth Curry and Josh Richardson.

The Texan franchise will immediately cut Westbrook and miss another first round of the Draft. The Nets will be released from Irving’s contract and could go for another Free Agency. The Lakers received their third leg of Big Three.

LeBron James and Kyrie Irving worked together for three years with the Cleveland Cavaliers, reaching three NBA finals and winning the ring. On all three occasions they played against Golden State Warriors; they lost 4-2 in 2015, won 4-3 in 2016 and fell again in 2017 4-1. In the 2018 final, also between the Cavs and the Dubs, Stephen Curry’s team was crowned champion, but Kyrie Irving was moved to boston celtics at the beginning of the season.
