Former head coach of the Russian women’s national team Igor Grudin believes Evgeny Gomelsky person of the year in Russian basketball.
Under Gomelsky’s leadership, the CIS women’s team won gold medals at the 1992 Olympics, and in 2010 he was inducted into the FIBA Hall of Fame. Gomelsky, 85, currently serves as vice-president of the Moscow Basketball Federation.
