Luca Vildoza: another serious injury that worries Greece and Argentina

Argentine point guard Luca Vildoza was injured again in a game. This time it happened in a Greek league match against Peristeri, where Panathinaikos, despite losing the perimeter before the end of regulation time, defeated its visitor 90-75.

According to reports from the Greek club, Luca will have a tear in the lateral meniscus of his left leg. An MRI showed the result of the injury and he will undergo surgery on Tuesday 9/1 and at least a month.

The Argentine National Team will only have a competition at the end of February with the Americup qualifier against Chile, but Panathinaikos is not only a consecutive competition in these months, but also has several injuries in the squad and its path to the Euroleague is complicated .

In his sixth Euroleague campaign and first with the Greek club, Vildoza is averaging 6.8 points, 1.7 assists, 1.7 rebounds and 0.8 steals in 18 appearances, including five starts. Their numbers have helped achieve a current balance of 11 wins and 8 losses, which puts them in fourth position but tied with four other teams in the standings.

They achieved a great win against Valencia, where Luca Vildoza was key. This week, Ataman’s team will host Anadolu Efes on Tuesday and AS Monaco on Thursday.
