During a period when he was suspended from the court with no expected return, Draymond Green reveals a conversation with Adam Silver and considered retirement

After suffering an indefinite suspension, Draymond Greenplayer of Golden State Warriors, revealed that he had considered retirement. The pivot was punished after attacking Jusuf Nurkicof Phoenix Sunsand had a conversation with Adam Silvercommissioner of the American league, who allowed him to return to the courts.

“We had a long and great conversation – very useful for me. So grateful to play in a league with a commissioner like Adam who cares more about you than losing; with help than with punishment. He cares more about the players,” revealed Green, about his conversation with Adam Silver.

However, the conversation had dramatic tones, and almost ended the career of the Warriors center. “I told him, ‘Adam, this is too much for me… This is too much. It’s all becoming too much for me – and I’m going to retire.’ And Adam said, ‘You’re making a very hasty decision and I’m not going to let you do it.’” said the player.

After 14 games away from the court, Draymond Green is ready to return to activities and continue defending the Golden State Warriors. The incident with Nurkic was the second time he was violent this season, taking into account the five-match suspension he received after grabbing Rudy Gobert and dragging around the court, in confrontation with the Minnesota Timberwolves.
