The head coach Lokomotiv-Kuban Alexandre Sekulic spoke about his impressions of Russia.
The Slovenian specialist has led the Krasnodar club since July 2022. Last season, Lokomotiv-Kuban reached the final of the VTB United League for the first time in its history.
— Russia is incredibly big. Every journey is a complete journey. I myself come from a small country: Slovenia. And when we say, “It’s nearby,” we usually mean a distance of 10 to 15 kilometers. And in Russia, “near” means 200 to 300 kilometers!
Distances are therefore my first association with your country. There is another completely justified cliché: that of Russian jellies. Only here in Krasnodar the weather is more or less normal, but in other cities we visit it is very cold in winter. My family and I feel comfortable in Russia. Nice people live here and are always happy to help,” Sekulic told Championship.
