Perimeters Marcus Smart and Cade Cunningham are out in Memphis and Detroit due to injuries. However, the two will not have a long recovery because after their studies, they revealed good news for their franchises as they will be available soon.
Marcus Smart, three points that cost him a finger
The Memphis Grizzlies presence outside the Boston Celtics suffered a dislocation of his ring finger on his right hand. According to the player himself, the injury happened on a previous play while he was facing Kyrie Irving and he noticed it when he celebrated the conversion of a three-pointer.
Smart hasn’t had an MRI yet, since the Grizzlies aren’t at home, but he also confirmed in his video that the finger isn’t broken, just dislocated. And when they return to Memphis, an exam will be performed to determine the severity of the injury.
Cade Cunningham was scared, but not seriously
At the bottom of the table in the Eastern Conference, are the Detroit Pistons with total reliance on Cade Cunningham. The Pistons had the worst record in the league, but their young promise was injured and caused alarm in a franchise that knew how to shine in the 80s.
However, an MRI revealed good news for the three-time champions, as Cade will be out for a week. He sprained his left knee while playing against the Denver Nuggets, specifically in the second quarter of a loss against Jokic’s team. And the test was conducted a day later, which showed an encouraging result.
