The referee continues in the NBA under the spotlight and this time after the very hot statement of Darko Rajakovic, coach of the Toronto Raptors. The Serbian lit the fuse after his team’s loss against the Los Angeles Lakers at the Crypto.com Arena. It happened after 132-131, with controversial refereeing and in a heated fight that was decided in the final seconds.
In a press conference, the Raptors head coach exploded against the referee’s team: “What happened tonight is a shame. They had 23 free throws in the last quarter, and we only gave us two. The league cannot allow this “What happened is outrageous , obviously they have to win.”
In the locker room, and after the very harsh statements from the Toronto coach, LeBron James was not far behind and answered: “I simply feel that they fouled us and they didn’t.”
The Toronto Raptors are in 11th place in the NBA Eastern Conference (with 15 wins and 22 losses), while the Lakers are in tenth place in the Western Conference.
