Quimsa beat Obras at Ciudad Stadium

La Fusión receives the Obras in Santiago del Estero for the first game of the year for the locals. It was a victory for Quimsa by a wide margin and added its thirteenth victory in the tournament. This puts them alone as leaders and separated by two victories from their chaser, Olympic.

Quimsa is more advanced than ever

The match from the start turned to the locals, Fusion won quickly and managed to lead by ten. Fabián Ramírez Barrios (19 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists, 3 steals) scored 15 points in the first quarter. The second stage is similar, great excellence from the hosts, especially in painting with a great job in their interiors. It served to enter the break with a 26-point lead over Obras.

Quimsa once again established superiority in the visit and continued to distance themselves, this time it was Eduardo Vasirani (16 points, 10 rebounds, 1 assist, 3 steals) who dominated the sector below the rim. They were able to increase the difference to 29 points in the third quarter and up to 30 in the final period. La Fusión activated the rotation and Ramella gave minutes to the youngest players, and that allowed Obras to come close and cut the gap in half.

What’s next for you two?

Obras will return to Templo del Rock to welcome San Martín de Corrientes, who are in the top 10 and are showing a good level in the tournament. While Quimsa will hit the road to visit their neighbors in Formosa, they will face La Unión, Sepo Ginobili’s team that did not have the best first half, but showed some glimpses of their game when they won. Fusion wants to defend the title and they will take down anyone who stands in their way.
