On Friday afternoon, the new team members and the blue and white coaching staff met.
The first qualifying window for Americup 2025 is almost here and the Confederation has announced the list of players and coaching staff that will represent the Argentine National Team in the first matches. The two matches are against Chile, which will be played in Mar del Plata (2/22) and Valdivia (2/26). In the list we see some recurring presences, debuts and returns, after the last participation in Santiago del Estero.
The first new thing is the coaching staff. Pablo Prigioni’s choice (he was unavailable due to his NBA responsibilities) to lead the team was Herman Mlé. He currently works in Varese and returned to the Argentine National Team in the Olympic Pre-Qualifier, after being assistant to Sergio Hernández and Néstor García. His future assistant will be Nicolás Casalánguida, whose last presence in the albiceleste was at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games.. “Nico Casalánguida will focus on defense, as the main assistant in this aspect of the game”Prigioni explained to CAB Press.

Players:
The team, for its part, is made up entirely of players currently working in Europe. The idea is a mix between experienced players and others who will take their first steps in the senior team. The twelve summoned are:
