The NBA’s Miami Heat will install a statue of Wade outside their arena.

Statue of former Miami Heat guard Dwyane Wade will be installed near the team’s arena, the NBA press service reports.

The opening ceremony of the bronze monument is scheduled for fall 2024. The creation of the statue was entrusted to Omri Amrani and Oscar Leon, who previously worked on sculptures of former athletes.

“When we retired his number in February 2020, I said Dwayne had always been the face of this club, and I meant it. “I can’t think of a better way to honor him,” Heat President Pat Riley said.

Wade is 41 years old and has played 15 seasons. “Miami” , became a three-time NBA champion, was recognized as the most valuable player in the final series, and participated in the All-Star Game 13 times. In 2008, the defender won Olympic gold as a member of Team USA.
