The Serbian specialist felt ill on Tuesday during a team dinner in Salt Lake City, where his team was preparing for the NBA regular season match with the Utah Jazz. Deyan was hospitalized with a heart attack, but he could not be saved.

Milojevic was a notable player, playing in the attack of Partizan, Galatasaray, Valencia and Buducnost. As a member of the national team of Serbia and Montenegro, he won EuroBasket 2001.

He began his coaching career in his homeland, after which in August 2021 he joined Steve Kerr’s coaching staff at the Golden State Warriors (San Francisco), where he has worked to this day.

Due to the tragic event, the Utah-Golden State match, which was supposed to take place on the night of January 18, Kyiv time, was postponed.
