The Ukrainian Basketball Federation made a tough decision to punish “those who avoid sports.”

The Ukrainian Basketball Federation will more harshly punish players who, without a good reason, cannot get to the location of the Ukrainian national team.

The organization announced this on its official website. In particular, it is said that according to the decision made by the FBU Executive Committee, the player will now face a disqualification of up to two years.

“In the event of a systematic (2 or more times) unjustified failure of a player to arrive at the call of the FBU to undergo a medical examination and/or participate in training and other activities in preparation for competitions and/or the international official. competitions as part of the Ukrainian national team, except for those specified here As part of the sanctions, a player may be subject to a penalty in the form of disqualification (a ban on performing any activities related to basketball, in particular administrative, sports, etc.) for 1 to 2 years,” the FBU reports.
