LeBron James becomes first basketball player in history to be selected for 20 NBA All-Star Games

Before “the Los Angeles Lakers » LeBron James became the first basketball player in history to participate in the NBA All-Star Game for the 20th time, the league’s press service reports.

Earlier, the NBA press service presented the five starting teams of the NBA All-Star Game. James, 39, became captain of the West team and will play in the starting five with Nikola Jokic (Denver), Kevin Durant (Phoenix), Luka Doncic (Dallas), Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (Oklahoma). James has been an NBA All-Star since 2005.

The Eastern Conference starting five are: Giannis Antetokounmpo (Milwaukee), Joel Embiid (Philadelphia), Jayson Tatum (Boston), Tyrese Haliburton (Indiana), Damian Lillard (Milwaukee).

James has played in 40 games this season, averaging 24.8 points per game.

The NBA All-Star Game will take place on February 18 in Indianapolis.
