Two-time league champion player was arrested last Sunday, 28th, in Indiana, for illegal possession of a weapon and drug equipment
This past Sunday, the 28th, the newspaper “WDRB”, from U.Srevealed that the two-time champion of NBA and former point guard Rajon Rondo was arrested in the state of Indiana for illegal possession of a weapon, drug equipment and marijuana. The 37-year-old player paid a US$705 bail to be free the same day.
According to the Indiana State Police, the former point guard was stopped for a traffic violation. But as they approached the vehicle, they smelled a strong smell of marijuana. After an inspection, packages of weed, pipes and a firearm were found. Thus, Rondo ended up being arrested. According to Sgt. Stephen Wheelesthe four-time All-Star was immediately taken to the County Jail. Jackson. Furthermore, he stated that the former player cannot carry weapons due to a court decision. Thus, all three charges against him are misdemeanors.

Rajon Rondo spent 16 seasons in the NBA and achieved one of the league’s most unusual feats. The former point guard was champion with the two biggest franchises in history, as his first title was in 2008 with the Boston Celtics. The second, in 2020, was on the squad of Los Angeles Lakers. Just him and the former center Clyde Lovellette reached the mark.
This is not the first time Rondo has committed a crime. In May 2022, he threatened his ex-partner and mother of his two children, Ashley Bachelor, of death. The girl filed a request for an emergency protective measure for herself and the children. The former point guard was playing video games with his son, Pierre, when the boy’s mother asked him to sort the dirty clothes. The former player flew into a rage, threw the console at the wall and, according to Ashley, left the house for around 15 minutes, but returned with a gun and pointed it at her.
