Dallas Mavericks coach was NBA champion alongside the franchise’s great idol in 2011, but believes Slovenian is better
Jason Kiddcoach of Dallas Mavericksbelieve that Luka Doncic be better than your old teammate, Dirk Nowitzki. As a player, the coach was champion of the NBA alongside the German in 2011, for the franchise of Texas. Now, in charge of the team, he sees the Slovenian at the level of being a champion, with an even greater role than the team’s main idol.
“Doncic is better than Nowitzki. He’s in an atmosphere like Michael Jordan, the best he ever played, LeBron James, Kobe Bryant. So, we have to appreciate this 24-year-old. It’s something Dallas has never seen and I’ve said it internally: he’s better than Dirk. But he does things that Dirk could never do and now is the chance to put players alongside him to win a title.”said Jason Kidd.

Last week, Doncic scored 73 points in the victory over Atlanta Hawks. However, the Slovenian’s performance was one of the best the NBA has ever seen in terms of efficiency. And of course, it earned praise from the coach. “This young man is 24 years old and is breaking all records. He is a winner, but his goal is to be a champion. So, he will get there and not just win one, but several until his career is over”he commented.
