Point guard who spent almost five seasons with the North Carolina team before being traded to the Miami Heat fires back at former team
After almost five seasons of his career wearing the Charlotte Hornetsthe shipowner Terry Rozier He’s finally on a competitive team. The player himself recently made it clear that his experience in the North Caroline was not so positive. After a game of Miami Heathis new team, the athlete gave his opinion on the way the team was used to losing.
“Playing here, first of all, is the complete opposite of Charlotte. There, you’re already kind of used to losing games. Defeats are in the DNA, so to speak. I’m a competitive person, so it’s a feeling that has always bothered me so much. Things are very different in Miami, because nobody wants to lose. Nobody gets comfortable with something like that here.”blasted the 29-year-old point guard.
Terry Rozier on losing in Charlotte compared to Miami:
“It’s the total opposite. In Charlotte, you’re kinda used to losing. It’s kinda in the DNA. […] Over here, it’s the total opposite; nobody wants to lose, nobody is fine with it.”

Rozier’s results with the Hornets do not tell a success story. The team never made the playoffs while the point guard was there. The closest they came to that was two play-in appearances, losing both in the first game. “It’s no secret that not all organizations are equal in this league. There are places that are different, certainly. They take victories more seriously and, thus, create a competitive culture that always demands triumphs. And, in that sense, I feel like Miami is at a unique level in this league. I feel like I’m on top now”, added the veteran.
