La Fusion hosted the Regatas de Corrientes at the Ciudad Stadium for the National League. Quimsa managed to dominate almost every match and remains alone at the top of the standings. Ramella’s men achieved their 14th straight win.
More cutting edge than ever
The match is mostly for the locals. La Fusión dominated most of the match, but those from Corrientes did not make the night easy for them. It started off close, however, Ramella’s team managed to take advantage and distance themselves from the visit. They did it with a great Fabián Ramírez Barrios (22 points, 6 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 steal). Regatas recovered thanks to Facundo Piñero (19 points, 7 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 recovery). Calvi’s men led at the break by three points.
The second half was no different, Quimsa once again dominated the entire third period. They distanced themselves from their rival by the maximum of the match, 13 points. They dominated most of the final quarter, but Regatas tied it up and forced the home team to score to secure the win. Emiliano Basabe (20 points, 8 rebounds, 1 assist, 2 steals) was the driver of the Santiago team in the last moments of the match and was able to lead them to victory. Those led by Leandro Ramella won by five points and continued to pull away from their pursuers.
What’s next for you two?
Quimsa will be local again and host Platense at Ciudad Stadium. It will be a great confrontation, as the locals will want to continue to show their superiority. But Calamar wants to be part of the Super 20 tournament and will not give an easy win to the people of Santiago del Estero. During Regatas, he will continue his tour of northern Argentina and visit his neighbor in Mercedes. They will deal with Communications in a visiting position.
