The Ukrainian team destroyed the opponent in the last quarter – 36:9
Prometheus in Riga won a victory over the Spanish Joventut in the final match of the group stage Eurocup – 94:80.
The teams went into the big break with a slight advantage of Joventuts – 53:47. In the third quarter, the Spanish team managed to develop its advantage to 13 points – 71:58.
In the final 10 minutes, Prometheus dominated on the court and made an impressive comeback, allowing the opponent to score only 9 points – 36:9.
The most productive player of the meeting was Gian Clavell – 24 points. Issouf Sanon has 23 points.
Thanks to today’s victory, Prometheus (10-8) overtook Joventut (10-8) and took fourth place in Group A of the Eurocup. Ronen Ginzburg’s team will have home court advantage in the first stage of the playoffs.
Prometheus will play its next match against Ventspils on February 10 in the Latvian-Estonian Basketball League.
