Regata crushes Ferro in Corrientes

El Remero welcomes Ferro Carril Oeste to Conte for its second match in the current National League. It was an absolutely massive success for Regatas on his visit, nearly doubling the points. A loss that is even more surprising given the good moment that Verdolaga is currently enjoying.

Surprising but true

The match in Corrientes was completely local, at first Verdolaga fought back, but when Regatas caught fire they doubled it on the score. El Remero found an advantage by adding from mid-range and Charles Thomas III (15 points, 4 rebounds, 2 assists) took advantage of it. In the first half, Calvi’s men added a lot from free kicks, Ferro was not the only one who was not on the field. But they also committed excessive fouls that allowed the locals to get away. Regatas retired at halftime 21 points ahead of his rival.

The second half was even worse, although Federico Fernández’s men managed to double their points with the young substitute, Regatas scoring almost 60 points in just 20 minutes. Caballito’s team made their first triple at 06:58 of the third period and finished with two of 31 shots. The locals also made room for his replacement. However, the distance leader that Remero got was Facundo Piñero (12 points, 9 rebounds). An old acquaintance from the National League also added film, Selem Safar (12 points, 1 rebound, 1 assist) who contributed to the victory of 46 units difference from Regatas a Ferro.

What’s next for you two?

Both teams will visit San Martín de Corrientes at Raúl Argento Ortiz. First Ferro will continue his tour in the north of the country and Verdolaga wants to recover from this unusual encounter. In addition, they will once again look for the victory against Gallo that they already achieved with Caballito. Then it will be the Regatas who play classic as the visitors this time and will look to return the favor to SanMa who beat them in Contte.
