The Brazilian team lost all of its Pre-Olympic matches, in Belém; Brazil will not be at the Olympic Games for the second time in a row
A Brazilian Team women’s basketball was defeated 73 to 71 by Germany this Sunday, 11th, at the Mangueirinho gymnasium, in Belém, for the Pre-Olympic. With the result, Brazil lost its place in Paris 2024.
The national team had the opportunity to play at home in the qualifying tournament, to seek a victory over Australia, Serbia or Germany, but lost three times. There were three places for four teams up for grabs.
Brazil had already failed to qualify for the Tokyo 2020 Olympics and was frustrated once again. Last Saturday, the team opened 10 points over Serbia, but wasted all the advantage it had built.
Against the Germans, they were unable to equalize for three quarters and ended up conceding 11-0 at the start of the match. Brazil even overcame the Europeans, but faltered in the end and lost 73 to 71.
