Ginzburg’s team took revenge for the unexpected defeat in the first round
Prometheus did not experience any problems in the away match of the regular season Latvian-Estonian Basketball League with Latvian Ogre — 91:68.
The match for the Ukrainian team was important, since the Latvian team was the only one who, besides the season leader BC Kalev/Cramo, managed to defeat Prometheus in the regular season.
The first half of the match was not easy for Ronen Ginzburg’s team. Ogre stayed on equal terms for a long time, and at the beginning of the second quarter he even managed to take the lead. The opponents went into the big break with the score 39:45.
In the third quarter, Prometheus increased its handicap and subsequently only increased its advantage. The result is a quiet victory with a difference of +23.
Ginzburg’s team won its 20th victory in the championship and is in second place in the table. Ogre is seventh in the playoff zone.
The day after tomorrow, February 16, Prometheus will play a nominally home match of LEBL against Valmiera.
