2007 European basketball champion Sergei Monia entered the VTB United League Hall of Fame, the tournament press service reports.
Also inducted into the Hall of Fame were 1988 Olympic basketball champion Valery Tikhonenko, honorary president of the VTB United League Sergei Ivanov and manager Dmitry Konov.
The Hall of Fame was introduced in February 2019. It includes prominent basketball players, coaches, officials and specialists who have made significant contributions to the development and popularization of the league.
