Quimsa welcomes Ciclón to the Ciudad de Santiago del Estero Stadium for the National League. San Lorenzo handed the Fusion its second loss of the season and ended a great winning streak. Leonardo Costa’s men sit in seventh position in the tournament after a crucial victory.
They stopped the Fusion vehicle
The match started close at the Ciudad Stadium, but the locals quickly started to score and took a good lead. Fusion was able to take the lead in the first quarter thanks to Tayavek Gallizzi (13 points, 6 rebounds, 1 steal). San Lorenzo tried throughout the second period to get closer. But he did not achieve his goal and what little he cut Quimsa recovered and stretched. Leandro Ramella’s men led by 17 points at halftime.
The second half looked similar and was a great success for the home leaders. Quimsa was able to reach 20 points of maximum distance, but they didn’t have the weapons that Cuervo had. Francisco Conradi (14 points, 2 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 steal) absolutely shined throughout the third quarter. And he started the comeback of Costa’s team based on triples. In the final episode, Fusion’s captain, Fabián Ramírez Barrios was sent off (unsportsmanlike and technical) and Ciclón took advantage. With the total of Lucas Pérez (15 points, 4 rebounds, 5 assists, 2 steals), San Lorenzo turned it around at the end and won three units.
