Parma leader Alexander Platunov told that the team sets itself the task of achieving the first victory in the club’s history in the VTB United League playoffs and passing the first round.
Parma earned their way to the playoffs after beating Minsk on January 29. After 27 championship matches, the Perm club is in sixth place in the standings with 16 victories.
— “Parma” surprises many this season. What makes you so successful?
— We found our game, everyone had chemistry with each other. At one point it helped us turn around the season that I think didn’t start very well, finishing in second last place. Now we are in the top six, this is the overall success of the team. In the new year we only lost two games in the United League, that’s a good result.
— What can you count on in the playoffs?

— Your contract ends at the end of the season. Have you already discussed the extension with the club?
“No, there have been no such conversations yet, so I can’t say anything,” Platunov told .
In the last three seasons of the VTB United League, Parma was eliminated in the quarterfinals of the playoffs, without achieving a single victory in the knockout matches.
