Now Stepanovsky’s team is waiting for the match for the right to remain in Division A
National team of Ukraine U-20 lost to the team Turkey in the 1/8 finals of the European Championship, which takes place in Montenegro.
The first quarter ended with an equal score – 15:15, but already for a long break, the Turkish team left with an advantage of plus seven points. The Ukrainian team tried to impose a fight on the opponent, but eventually lost in the third and fourth quarters.
The best player in the national team of Ukraine was Oleksandr Kobzisty, who scored 23 points and made 8 rebounds.
Recall that Vitaliy Stepanovsky’s team finished the group round in third position of the quartet C. In three matches, the Ukrainians scored one victory (against Lithuania – 71:69) and were defeated by the Czech Republic (86:98 in overtime) and Spain (58:89).
The Ukrainian U-20 national team will continue to fight for the right to remain in Division A – the next game will take place tomorrow, July 21, against the team that will lose in the match Slovenia – Israel.
