This Monday, the 26th, the Los Angeles Clippers revealed that it will undergo a complete restructuring of its brand in the next season of NBA. The team released the new uniforms, the logo and the design of the court that will accompany the franchise’s move to a new gym, the Intuit Dome, which will open in August 2024.
“We have been on a long journey, gathering opinions and ideas from fans. We listen to as many voices as possible and consult experts to arrive at a timeless design that brings together the foundations of the past and the future. The new brand is strong and means a lot, capturing our roots and aspirations.”said the president of commercial operations for the team and the gym, Gillian Zucker.
The team’s new logo will have the iconic traditional “C”, accompanied by other graphic elements, such as the boat, making a reference to the port of San Diego, the city in which the team gained the name Clippers. In addition, the logo also features a compass, with north pointing to where to go. Los Angelesand typography with naval references.
The future court of the new gym will be emblazoned with the new logo. Furthermore, the uniforms will also be different next season, having blue, red and white colors, with the name of the city or team. While the changes have not yet happened, the Clippers continue to fight for their unprecedented title and have been having a good season, with 37-19, occupying fourth place in the Western Conference.
