Joe Mazzullatechnician at Boston Celticstraveled to England during the All-Star Break to pay a visit to Pep Guardiola. In an interview with Jared Weissfrom “The Athletic”, the coach revealed that he has a lot of admiration and is inspired by the Spaniard’s work.
“For me, the essence of the game of basketball is similar to the counterattack of football. I study a lot Manchester City. I study Pep a lot. I think he is the best coach at any level and any sport. He had a great influence,” said Mazzulla about the similarity he sees between the two sports.

Joe is only in his second season in the league and is already in charge of the team with the best campaign and one of the biggest favorites for the title. In 2022/23 they reached the conference finals, but lost in seven games to Miami Heat.
