Zaporozhye had a strong last quarter, but failed to make a comeback
Old Lutsk beat not without problems BC Zaporozhye in the 1/8 finals match Ukrainian Cup – 84:83.
Dmitry Tchaikovsky’s team overall looked more confident and played the first quarter powerfully. In the second ten minutes, Zaporozhye managed to reduce the lead, going to the long break with the score 38:46.
In the second half, the Lutsk team seemed to have restored their handicap and at some point even led by +18. But their opponent delivered a powerful finish and was half a step away from an impressive comeback. And yet, Old Lutsk managed to defend a minimal victory.
For the right to reach the final four, Tchaikovsky’s team will compete with the winner of the Prykarpattya-Hoverla duel – BC Sambir. This match will take place today as part of the Ivano-Frankivsk Cup bubble.
