This Saturday’s round, 2, was marked by something historic, but it was overshadowed by the defeat. LeBron James became the first player in NBA to reach 40 thousand points in his career, however, the Los Angeles Lakers decided not to help the brand become even more impressive, losing at home to Denver Nuggets. In the game that marked James’ historic record, the Nuggets didn’t even want to hear about the Angelinos’ happiness. With 25 points and 10 rebounds Michael Porter Jr.35 points, 10 rebounds and seven assists from Nikola Jokic and 24 points and 11 assists from Jamal Murraythe current league champions won comfortably by 124 to 114.
One of the contenders for the NBA title didn’t have the best of nights. With incredible games Alperen Sengun (21 points and 10 rebounds), Fred VanVleet (24 points and 11 assists) and Jalen Green (34 points and nine rebounds), the Houston Rockets hit the Phoenix Suns by 118 to 109.
O Brooklyn Nets took advantage of the court command and hit the Atlanta Hawks by 114 to 103, with a great game of Mikal Bridges (38 points, five rebounds and two assists). O Miami Heat narrowly won the Utah Jazz by 126 to 120, with a good game of Jimmy Butler (37 points, seven assists and three rebounds). Finally, the Memphis Grizzlies picked up at home for the Portland Trail Blazerswhich won 107 to 100, with emphasis on Anfernee Simonswho recorded 30 points, seven assists and seven rebounds.
