Athletistic / Basketball. UNICS head coach Velimir Perasovich shared his emotions after the victory of his players in the second stage match of the regular championship of the VTB United League against CSKA Moscow (84:78). The meeting took place the day before, March 5, in Moscow.

“The match turned out to be very typical for meetings between UNICS and CSKA. Compared to the previous match, held in February, we started well, but quickly stopped and the army team took the advantage.

In the second half of the match it became even more difficult. However, our team showed more tenacity this time. We went into the last quarter with an almost equal score and we knew it: if you make CSKA lose concentration, it will be easier for you.

In tied matches, when their outcome is decided in the final attacks, the one who is more nervous loses. At the end of today’s match, Neno Dimitrievich played a great game that helped us achieve this victory,” Perasovich told the UNICS press service.

UNICS won three victories in three matches in the second stage of the VTB United League regular season. Interestingly, CSKA lost in all three matches and lost the lead to Kazan.
