The VTB United League has approved the schedule for the first round of the 2022/23 regular season, the Championship press office has reported.
The regular season starts on October 2, 2022 and ends on January 20, 2023. Petersburg Zenit and Kazan UNICS will play the first match of the season.
In the first stage of the regular season, 12 participating teams will play a two-round tournament – each will play home and away, after which the teams will be divided into two groups – group A (teams that took 1-6 places) and Group B (teams that took 7-12 places). In the second stage, the teams will compete in their groups in two additional rounds.
According to the results of the second leg of the regular season, the top eight teams will be determined, which will qualify for the playoffs. League. The quarter-final series will be held up to three wins, the semi-final and final series, as well as a series for 3rd place – up to four.
