The Ukrainian helped Valencia win the Queen of Spain Cup for the first time in history
Ukrainian basketball player Alina Yagupova became the winner Spanish Cup as part of Valencia. The Ukrainian team won the Queen of Spain Cup for the first time in history.
In the final match of the tournament, Valencia beat Zaragoza 77:53. In 34 minutes on the court, the Ukrainian scored 17 points (3/12 two-pointers, 3/6 three-pointers, 2/3 free throws), made 7 rebounds, 2 assists and 3 steals.
In just three Queen’s Cup matches, Yagupova averaged 16.3 points, 5.0 rebounds, 1.0 assists and 2.3 steals in 26.3 minutes.
Let us remind you that at the beginning of this year Yagupova signed a contract with the Spanish club until the end of this season. At the end of December, Yagupova left the Turkish Çukurova Mersin. The three-year agreement was terminated by mutual consent.
Last season Alina became the winner of the Euroleague. The Ukrainian was also a member of the symbolic team of the European tournament and twice became MVP of the Women’s Euroleague.
