The Toronto franchise’s power forward is under investigation by the NBA due to suspicious activities and alleged participation in a betting scheme

The NBA has begun investigations into the possible involvement of the NBA player. Toronto Raptors, Jontay Porter, in a betting scheme. According to “ESPN”, the league is investigating two matches, considered atypical, by the player.

The coach of the Canadian franchise, Darko Rajakovic, spoke out about the case and tried not to accuse his athlete. “I never doubt my players’ injuries. I just know that no one wants to have this kind of situation on their team. We’ll have to deal with it”, said the coach.

Another who took a stand on the situation involving the brother of last season’s champion, Michael Porter Jr. was the vice president of the NBA players union, Garrett Temple. “I was surprised. In my position, I have to support him. I hope it’s not what it seems”, stated the veteran.

Some people linked to the league’s management began to suspect Jontay’s actions. On more than one occasion, several bookmakers recorded a large volume of money being placed on “unders” (bets below the number the player would have in each statistic) of the center forward.
