The Rocker broke the Squid’s streak
The match started in Núñez with the visitors leading the way after losing to Boca Juniors. Platense took advantage, through scoring and an impressive first half by Facundo Vázquez (22 points, 10 rebounds, 3 assists). Throughout the block, El Calamar was able to reach the maximum distance of 17 points on the scoreboard against the locals. However, Cholo Vázquez’s men began to lose their great effectiveness and Obras came close. The visitor retired with three points at half time after the approach taken by Vadell’s team.
In the second half, Platense regained some distance, going nine points off the scoreboard, but Tachero had other plans. After the third quarter, Vadell’s team won for the first time in the game and quickly extended their lead to 12, the highest they had ever taken. They were able to achieve this thanks to a great Pepo Barral (26 points, 7 rebounds, 6 assists, 1 steal) who led the Capital team in the comeback. In the end, Squid took the lead again, but by one unit after overcoming the gap that Rockero had gained. But Obras again took the lead and won the match by five points.
