Embiid has not participated in a franchise game in over two months. The last time he entered the court was on January 30th, against Golden State Warriors. Since the injury, the team’s record has worsened significantly: Philadelphia had 11 wins and 18 losses in that period.
Joel was the main candidate for the season’s most valuable player award, but, with physical problems, he was unable to reach the required 65-game limit. In the 34 games he played, the center averaged 35.3 points, 11.3 rebounds, 5.7 assists and 1.8 blocks.
