Historic Boston Celtics player announced, in a podcast appearance, that he has decided to retire from basketball to spend more time with his family
Rajon Rondolegend of Boston Celticsannounced his retirement at the age of 38, this Monday, 1st. During his participation in the podcast “All The Smoke”, by Matt Barnes It is Stephen Jacksonthe former point guard made the revelation.
Rondo was asked if he had done enough in his career. The player’s last stint with an NBA franchise was in 2022, at Cleveland Cavaliers.

“It was definitely never something I looked forward to while playing. I loved every minute of the game and am grateful for the camaraderie that I was able to share, establish and grow over the years. I learned a lot from the game and it made me the man I am today”, said the NBA champion.
Rajon was selected by Phoenix Suns, taken 21st overall in the 2006 draft, but spent most of his years in the league in Boston. For the Celtics, the point guard was champion in 2008, leader in assists in 2012 and 2013, as well as leader in steals in 2010.
