Point guard Malachi Flynn scores 50 points against the Atlanta Hawks, ten times more than his season average, and joins select group
Coming off the bench during yet another defeat for Detroit Pistons in the season this past Wednesday, 3, Malachi Flynn took everyone by surprise. The point guard was extremely hot and, despite the negative result, ended up making history as he tried to bring victory to the Michigan franchise against the Atlanta Hawks. At the age of 25, he scored an impressive 50 points, starting the game as a substitute. For comparison purposes, the score is equivalent to ten times the player’s average in the 2023/24 NBA season.
“That was the first time I scored 50 points in a game in my life. I even think I almost scored when I was in high school, but my coach took me off the court beforehand. But right now, it’s a little difficult for me to have any kind of celebration. I always go into a game to win, above all else.”said Flynn, after the defeat.
