19-year-old point guard, eldest son of the Los Angeles Lakers star, played one season of college basketball
Bronny Jameseldest son of LeBron James, confirmed that he will register for the 2024 NBA Draft. The point guard used social media this Friday, 5th, to declare that he is eligible for the program in which the league’s franchises choose players from US colleges.
One of the promises of basketball, the 19-year-old athlete played one season of college basketball for USC (University of Southern California). In July last year, Bronny suffered a cardiac arrest after training.
He returned to the court in November, after missing the first eight games of the competition. Bronny will maintain college eligibility, and will still enter the NCAA transfer portal.
“I had a year with some ups and downs, but everything made me grow as a man, student and athlete. I have made the decision to enter the NBA draft while maintaining my college eligibility, and will also enter the NCAA transfer portal [a liga universitária dos EUA]. Thank you to USC for an incredible freshman year, as well as gratitude to my family, friends, doctors, coaches and fans for their support.”wrote the son of LeBron James.
LeBron’s manager, Paul Rich told ESPN in the United States that King prefers Bronny to be “his own man”. The star of Los Angeles Lakers has already confirmed his desire to play with his firstborn.
