Prometheus beat Riga WEF in the first semi-final match of the playoffs Latvian-Estonian Basketball League – 76:66.
The beginning of the meeting was an equal fight. Prometheus managed to make a breakthrough in the second quarter (11:0), but the Riga team returned to the game and temporarily equalized the score in the third 10 minutes.
Ronen Ginzburg’s team went ahead again, creating an advantage of +12 points. In the final quarter, VEF slightly reduced the gap, but failed to come back.
The second match of the semi-final will take place on April 14. Another finalist will be determined in the confrontation between Kalev/Cramo and Ventspils.
