The player was tipped to be in second place, but the Los Angeles Sparks selected Cameron Brink.
The player, who left University of South Carolina, winning the NCAA 2024 with South Carolina Gamecocksin addition to another championship, with averages of 10.6 points per game, 7.9 rebounds per game and 1.2 assists per game, arrives in the WNBA as a great center in college basketball.

Furthermore, Kamilla now becomes the best-ranked Brazilian in the WNBA Draft. The previous record belonged to Stephanie Soareswhich was selected in fourth place in the 2023 event, by Dallas Wings.
