Ferro defeated Platense on his return to Etchart

Purslane received Platense on his return to Héctor Etchart in the National League. Ferro missed an important victory to stay in the fight for Reclassification, he is in fifteenth place, one victory away from equaling the qualifiers’ record, but with more defeats. In addition, Calamar’s direct classification was complicated by the win at home and they are now in sixth position below San Lorenzo.

Purslane Celebration at Caballito

The match began with the Verdolaga team returning to Caballito as both teams battled. Neither of them prevailed until the home side took the lead and went nine points clear. However, Platense stayed in the game and when they had their chance in the second quarter, they took the lead. With the help of Eric Flor (23 points, 4 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 steal) they turned the game around for Ferro and Vicente López’s men were ahead at the break by one unit.

In the second half, everything was closer than the first. Ferro, with drive, mid-range shots and good defense, won again. Again for a limited distance, but one that they know how to maintain. Rodrigo Gallegos (20 points, 6 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 steal) was the star of the Purslanes and was joined by Marco Luchi (16 points, 6 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 steal) in scoring. Ferro was left with a crucial victory as he returned to the true home team by five points.

What’s next for you two?

Platense will return to the Ciudad de Vicente López Stadium to face Riachuelo de La Rioja. Cholo Vázquez’s team will try to be strong at home like the rest of the season to achieve victories in the latter part of La Liga. The Eternals remain in the fight for Reclassification and will not make it easy for Squid. While Ferro will receive the Obras Basket in Héctor Etchart, Caballito’s team will soon have the playoffs and will not give up. But they will face Tachero who have a good streak behind them and don’t want to lose direct qualification to the quarterfinals.
