On his social networks, the ‘King’ decided to take a shot at the defiance rule of NBAasking for a change in criteria.
“This challenge rule has to change! It is not possible for you to have two successfully requested challenges and not be able to do any more for the rest of the game! IT DOESN’T MAKE ANY SENSE”, wrote LeBron James, through his official profile on X (formerly Twitter). The star was referring to a second successful challenge by the Mavs with 2:10 minutes remaining in the third quarter. Shortly before, the team also had its first successful request.
Have to change that challenging rule! No way you have 2 successful challenges and can’t anymore for the rest of the game! Makes ABSOLUTELY NO SENSE

In the NBA, coaches have one challenge request in the match and can request a second if the first was successful. However, two is the maximum number of challenges for a team in the game, regardless of whether the second one was successful. At NFL, for example, is different. In American football, franchises have two fixed challenges and can achieve a third if at least one of the first two has worked in their favor. Ultimately, the Mavericks didn’t need the extra challenge to win in Target Centerin Minneapolis.
