The Clippers have signed a new long-term contract with their head coach.

Los Angeles Clippers ” signed a new long-term contract with head coach Tyronn Lue, reports the press service of the NBA club.

According to ESPN, Lue will become one of the highest-paid coaches in the league.

The 47-year-old, who was in the final year of his contract, posted a 184-134 win-loss record in four seasons with the Clippers, the sixth best in the NBA over that period.

Lue began his NBA head coaching career in 2016, replacing David Blatt in Cleveland. In 2019, he joined the Clippers, becoming Doc Rivers’ assistant. In 2020, Lue replaced Rivers as head coach.
