Even with Clark’s historic game with 30 points, Indiana Fever loses

First overall pick in the 2024 Draft breaks record for best start to WNBA career, but fails to prevent another defeat for the franchise

The round of WNBA this past Tuesday, the 28th, there were only three games, but the big highlight was for the newcomer Caitlin Clark in the defeat of Indiana Fever. Not even the impressive start to the career of the first overall pick in the 2024 Draft and his best game of the season could prevent the setback. In other matches, the Connecticut Sun maintained its invincibility, while the Seattle Storm hit the Chicago Sky.

The Fever tried, but not even Clark’s impressive game could lead the team to victory. The freshman had 30 points, six assists, five rebounds and three blocks, but missed her seventh game of the season. On the side of Los Angeles Sparksthe highlight was Kia Nurse with 22 points and Dearica Hambywith 17 points and 10 rebounds.

With last Tuesday night’s impressive game, the 28th, Caitlin Clark became the fastest rookie in history to reach 100 points and 50 assists in the WNBA. “Honestly, I think I played with an aggressive mentality. I think that was the most important thing, playing downhill as well as I could. I would have liked to have made a few more threes… but I thought we did some good things and then we kind of shot ourselves in the foot.”said the player.
