Stephen Curry scored 29 points and Yaxel Lendeborg added 17 points as the Golden State Warriors defeated the Miami Heat 120-100 on Thursday night.

Lendeborg, a Dominican player, also recorded eight rebounds and six assists in the National Basketball Association (NBA) contest. The victory extended Golden State's winning streak to six consecutive games after the team opened the regular season with an 0-3 record.
The game turned during a decisive stretch in the third quarter when the Warriors outscored the Heat 26-9. Miami was unable to recover from the deficit over the remainder of the night.
Davion Mitchell led the Heat in scoring with 22 points while distributing eight assists. Giannis Antetokounmpo recorded 20 points and 14 rebounds, and Bam Adebayo contributed 18 points and 10 rebounds in the losing effort.
Stephen Curry third quarter surge and Warriors stats
Curry struggled with his shot early in the game, making just one of his first eight attempts and going into halftime shooting 2 of 10 from the floor. He caught fire during the third quarter and finished the night 9 of 19 from the field, including six three-pointers.
Curry fell one point shy of recording his fourth consecutive game with at least 30 points because he rested on the bench once the outcome was already decided. Teammate Draymond Green dished out a season-high 11 assists, while Georges Niang provided 13 points off the bench for Golden State.
Based in San Francisco, the Golden State Warriors compete in the NBA Western Conference. Curry, a two-time league Most Valuable Player and the NBA all-time leader in three-point field goals made, has anchored the franchise alongside Green, a former NBA Defensive Player of the Year, across four championship runs.
Klay Thompson and Andrew Wiggins reunion against Golden State
Thursday's matchup also marked a reunion for former Warriors players Klay Thompson and Andrew Wiggins, who both suited up for Miami. Thompson received a warm ovation from the crowd before the opening tip-off and finished the game with 11 points in his return against his former club.
Wiggins struggled offensively against his former Golden State teammates, scoring two points on 1-of-6 shooting from the floor. He added six rebounds and four assists for the Heat.
Thompson spent more than a decade with Golden State after being drafted by the franchise in 2011, winning four NBA titles alongside Curry and Green in 2015, 2017, 2018 and 2022. Wiggins joined the Warriors in 2020 and played a key role on the 2022 championship team, earning his first NBA All-Star selection that same season.
The Miami Heat compete in the Eastern Conference's Southeast Division and have won three NBA championships in franchise history. Antetokounmpo is a two-time NBA Most Valuable Player and the 2021 Finals MVP, while Adebayo is a multi-time All-Star and All-Defensive selection who was drafted by Miami in 2017.
