Experienced Mike Conley makes a point of praising the work of Chris Finch, Wolves coach, who underwent surgery after tearing a tendon
One of the most unusual highlights of the team’s victory Minnesota Timberwolves in the fourth game of the series against Dallas Mavericks was certainly the coach of the Minneapolis franchise, Chris Finch. After undergoing serious surgery on his right knee a few weeks ago, the coach emerged limping without crutches for some time. He even received a technical foul for complaining. The experienced shipowner Mike Conley praised the commander’s energetic delivery.
“Chris is our leader because he’s the one who made everything work from day one. Having him behind the bench for most of the playoffs might even make you forget the impact he has. When your coach yells and gets technical fouls while limping, it’s impressive. He certainly lit a fire within all of us today.”said Conley, after the victory.
“It was a victory that required a lot of resilience from all the athletes, first and foremost. There were several moments when the match could have gone either way. Any one of them could have been the end of our season. But we didn’t let any of that stand against us. We kept going, because nothing could shake us in this game.”, added the point guard, talking about the important victory that prevented a sweep. The two franchises will face each other again this Thursday, 30th, at 9:30 pm.
