The team of Doncic and Irving crushed the Timberwolves and will face the Boston Celtics in the grand final.
The second NBA conference final is over. In the first game of the series without parityThe Dallas Mavericks crushed the Timberwolves on the road. The Texans took to the field with the goal of taking over the world, and it showed on the field of play. From the initial jump it was noticed that the energy of the two franchises was different and there was no point of return for Chris Finch’s team. It ended up being 124 to 103, to seal the 4-1 in their favor.
35 points in the first 12 minutes of the game was a more significant message, but only 19 recorded by the home owners seemed to break the structure of the owner. Beyond what Towns and Edwards can come up with, there aren’t many answers. The story is different in other sectors of the field. While scoring leaders Doncic and Irving emerged, other sources of points emerged that shook the entire defensive structure of the Timberwolves.
Doncic and Irving combined to contribute 72 points to their team’s total score. The Slovenian finished with a double double of 36 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists, while Irving added the same goal, 4 boards and 5 assists. On the home team’s side, Karl Anthony Towns and Anthony Edwards led the way in the offensive sector. Both finished with 28 points each.
Luka, the MVP
It was known that the award had only two possible names, but it was Luka Doncic who won the Earvin “Magic” Johnson trophy as the most valuable player of the Western conference finals. The Slovenian is the first player in playoff history to have more than 150 rebounds, 150 assists and 50 triples in a postseason.
The grand finale:
