Instituto won the fifth game against Regatas after trailing on the scoreboard. La Gloria came back in the second half with its scorer Bautista Lugarini, and won the ticket to the semifinals where it will face Olympic. El Remero finished the playoffs with a positive frame, as they were able to go down to Gimnasia and complicate the second place in the whole league. The work done by Fernando Calvi and his team became less and they managed to establish themselves as one of the revelations of the tournament. The visiting scorers were Jaime and Diez.
glorious rank
The match against Alta Córdoba was experienced as a final, La Caldera was full of glorious fans who filled the stadium with sound. And unsurprisingly, they play for qualification to the next stage, the semifinals; and pride is also at stake. Instituto could be left after a great season in its first time in the Playoffs, while Regatas could establish itself as the revelation and increase its record this postseason.
The match, surprisingly, started with an advantage for the visiting side. Regatas moved to the front on the scoreboard and marked the field for the locals, who were running from behind. A short distance separated them in goals, but Remero was able to maintain in the first half their scorers Alejandro Diez (15 points, 1 steal) and Andrés Jaime (15 points, 7 assists, 4 rebounds). El Fantasma managed to dominate Instituto in the first 20 minutes, going seven points clear, but Victoriano’s team brought them down to three in the halftime period.
La Gloria did not show its best version in the first half and its lack of goals seems to be increasingly difficult to overcome. But, young Bautista Lugarini (14 points, 4 rebounds, 3 steals, 1 assist) appeared and with his play, he was able to unlock the game for the Cordobans and they started scoring. Those led by Lucas Victoriano have five players with more than double digit scores, adding to the figure, the scorers are Pomoli, Vildoza, Copello, Hoover and Cosolito.

With these players in the second half they showed the reason for their position in the tournament and managed to not only tie the match, but also turn it around. They reached the maximum difference of 15 units in the game and with good passing in the third period, they maintained that advantage. The Institute took the final series by 13 points and qualified for the semifinals of the National League in its 40th edition.
What’s next for Glory?
With the victory of the team led by Lucas Victoriano, there were no surprises in the semifinals. The teams that will compete for a ticket to the final are the first four in the regular season in the National League. Quimsa will face Boca Juniors and Instituto will face Olympic de La Banda. The match with Negro will be complicated, they have met twice in the campaign and also competed in the Super 20 Cup the ones in the regular season are one each and the match for the simultaneous trophy is for the Bandeños.
