Saint PETERSBOURG “Zenith” extended the contract with the striker Sergei Karasev according to the basketball club’s website.
The 30-year-old’s new deal with the Bleu-Blanc-Bleu is for three years.
Karasev has been playing for Zenit since 2021; the basketball player previously played for the St. Petersburg team in 2016-2019. Karasev is Zenit’s record holder for the number of seasons played (6), matches played (272), points scored (2873) and interceptions made (238).
Karasev, as part of the team, became the champion of the VTB United League, the champion of Russia and the winner of the National Cup.
Karasev is a bronze medalist at the 2012 Olympic Games in London.
